Post-college, Tim served in the Army for two years, one of them in Vietnam as a rifleman with an ambush platoon. That was a spiritually and emotionally vital year in his growth in Christ-likeness. God stimulated Tim to be a dynamic disciple of Christ rather than a casual Christian, and instilled a courage and tenacity that is necessary in the spiritual warfare of ministry.
After his military service, Tim worked at General Motors for 20 years as a layout/designer. Having been discipled by a godly pastor that gave him a passion for doing likewise, Tim felt led to pastoral ministry in 1988. After completing his Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, he pastored Community Bible Church in Cedar Lake for 18 years.
Serving as Senior Pastor at Harvest Turks & Caicos is the latest chapter to unfold in Tim's vocational ministry service. His desire is that Christ will be pleased and honored and that the island will be so gripped by Jesus and His Word that “we will become a bright light of grace for many islands in the Caribbean.”
Tim and his wife Patty have been married since 1968 and have two children and four grandchildren. Their motto is to live "FHP" (For His Pleasure), Ephesians 5:10.
