Timothy Dahal

Senior Pastor, Harvest Kathmandu, NepalTimothy Dahal grew up in a poor Hindu family with a difficult life. His life was transformed when a missionary introduced him to the gospel and the saving work of Jesus Christ. Though persecution followed, Timothy continued to attend his church and grow in his faith.

In 1988 the Lord called Timothy into the ministry and he had the privilege of serving Christ in a Baptist church. After several years of pastoring, God confirmed His will for Timothy to step out in faith and plant a church. In 2004, a small group of believers walked with him to plant Nepal Missionary Church Mission.

In 2008, Pastor Timothy contacted Harvest Bible Fellowship to seek a partnership in ministry.  He, his wife and two children are now serving the Lord together with Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu in Nepal.

Even though Nepal has been declared a secular state, 95% of its population is Hindu and less than 2% are Christians. Yet these statistics and the persecution that accompanies them do not discourage Pastor Timothy or the church leadership in Nepal. “Today is the day for salvation and we are working towards that end to proclaim the riches of Christ, teach God’s Word, lift high the name of Jesus in worship, and pray as we share our faith with boldness.”
