He previously pastored a church in Scotland and though familiar with the challenges of ministry, he desires greatly for Christ's light to shine in a place where God's Word is desperately needed. Scott is married to Alison, who is a family doctor in a Glasgow suburb. They have the joy of two wonderful children, Matthew and Katie, and a third that's not yet arrived. Scott is encouraged that, "The people who are gathering around the fledgling Harvest Glasgow are preparing for a lifetime of ministry for God’s glory. They are Word-saturated, prayerful, worshipping followers of Jesus with a longing to see the city of Glasgow return to it’s former motto: ‘Let Glasgow flourish by the preaching of God’s Word and the praising of His name.’"
