Objective: To execute and implement the vision of HBCYR as determined by the Elders, through administrative and management support to the Sr. Pastor and Elder team, enabling them to focus their attention on Doctrine, Discipleship/Discipline and Direction. Associate Pastor @ Harvest Rockford, IL

Responsibilities of the Associate Pastor
  1. Oversee the tracking of our newcomers and how they are integrating into the body (Assimilation)
  2. Oversee our crisis ministry which we call, “A Present Help” (financial assistance to our people and then how to reach our city through meeting needs)
  3. Plan, direct, and oversee adult equipping classes (parenting, marriage, NT/OT survey, theology, recovery groups)
  4. Assist the staff and senior pastor in carrying out the mission by breaking down projects and dreams into manageable steps for execution
  5. Work with the administrative assistants to develop infrastructure that will ensure quality of community
  6. Oversee and coordinate church-wide events

Pastor/Director of Ministry Development @ Harvest Philadelphia West

VISION OF ROLE
: Who we are looking for outweighs what this person will do. The objective of this position is To build, shepherd and lead a life‐giving and life‐changing ministry to families at HBC Philadelphia.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
  1. He must have a clear testimony of faith in Christ and a vibrant, growing walk as well
  2. He must meet the qualifications of 1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9
  3. He must be a submissive #1 committed to refining his gifts in a church plant environment by serving as a #2 for 3-5 years
  4. He must be a self‐starter with drive, passion and initiative
  5. He must be teachable and willing to be held accountable
  6. He must possess the spiritual gifts of teaching (Romans 12:7), leadership (Romans 12:8) and administration (1 Corinthians 12:28).
  7. He must be a builder, able to gather teams and equip others for the work of the ministry
  8. He must be able to create where nothing exists and inspire others to follow where there seems to be no path

HBC Philadelphia West is a growing church, building upon a strong foundation of committed believers who are devoted to fulfilling the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. We are seeking an associate pastor who feels called to lead our assimilation and small group ministries while building the church’s Student Ministries, is committed to the Four Pillars, the HBC Church model and has a contagious love for Jesus Christ. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. General
a. Casting the vision that every disciple should Worship, Walk and Work for Christ
b. Assisting in the pastoral care of the congregation (hospital visits, weddings, funerals, etc.)
c. Projecting and managing an annual ministry budget for the Small Groups department
d. Aggressively pursuing personal, spiritual and professional growth
e. Carrying out other assignments as directed by the Senior Pastor

2. Small Groups – Top Priority (Month 1 – 90%, 2 – 80%, 3 – 70%, 4 – 60%)
a. Recruiting, training and mentoring small group leaders and coaches
b. Coordinating and planning the small group curriculum
c. Developing a reporting structure within the small group ministry
d. Leading a small group
e. Placing all interested Harvest attenders in small groups
f. Providing Biblical Counseling Support for those needs discovered in small group life

3. Assimilation
a. Implementing an assimilation process that enables adults to become passionate, contagious followers of Jesus Christ
b. Directing and leading current means of Assimilation
c. Focus on refining First Touch Ministries (Parking, Greeting, Lobby, Signage)

4. Children & Student Ministries
a. Implementing an assimilation process that enables students to become passionate, contagious followers of Jesus Christ b. Recruiting, training, empowering and mentoring volunteer leaders
c. Coordinating and planning the children and student ministry curriculum
d. Developing a reporting structure within the children and student ministry
e. Planning, organizing and overseeing monthly activities for jr/senior high students
f. Contacting and following up with new students

Ministry Qualifications:
  1. Leadership experience in the small group and student ministries of a local church is preferred
  2. A degree from a Bible College/Christian University and or Seminary (seminary education is preferred) or it’s equivalent in a church-based training center is desired
  3. Enthusiasm for the doctrine, vision and philosophy of Harvest Bible Chapel
  4. Ability to communicate clearly to parents, volunteers, and students
  5. Ability to enlist volunteers and develop leaders
  6. Must be a “leader of leaders”
  7. Able to articulate a biblical philosophy of assimilation, small group and student ministries within a discipleship focus

Pastor of Family Ministries at Harvest Oakville, Ontario

Summary:  Harvest Bible Chapel in Oakville is a rapidly growing church in Oakville, ON that is committed to the unapologetic preaching of the authority of the Scriptures, the exaltation of Jesus Christ in worship, a firm belief in the power of prayer, and boldly sharing the good news of Christ with the world.  The Family Ministries Pastor is responsible for providing spiritual oversight and leadership to all Harvest Bible Chapel ministries that concentrate on children and youth (ages 0 to 18 years).   He will evaluate, revise and expand a strategy of family ministries in such a way that reflects the overall vision for discipleship from the Elders at Harvest Bible Chapel.  He will be an equipper, continuing to build and lead through a team of qualified individuals to effectively do the work of ministry within our Family Ministries at Harvest Oakville.  

Experience and Education:

  • Mature follower of Jesus Christ with character consistent with Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7
  • 5+ years of local church ministry experience
  • Wholeheartedly embraces the mission and vision of Harvest Bible Chapel Oakville
  • Seminary degree preferred

Essential Function and Responsibilities:
1. Provide pastoral oversight and leadership to all staff, department heads and ministry leaders within Harvest Kids weekend ministry, AWANA, summer Kids Camp, and Youth Ministry.

2. Develop and expand a broad-based ministry plan, within our Harvest Kids childrens ministry to reach and effectively disciple the children at Harvest.  This includes:

  • Expanding and equipping a team of Workers to meet the needs of a growing ministry
  • Equipping the Teaching Team to develop new and existing discipleship curriculum within Harvest Kids
  • Working with the Worship Ministry to raise the bar of excellence in this area within Harvest Kids
  • Expanding our Special Needs ministry within Harvest Kids, including developing a weekend ministry for children in the Deaf community
  • Partnering with other ministries at Harvest to effectively equip parents in the intentional discipleship of their children at home
  • Continuing to develop and implement with excellence a summer day camp ministry as an extension of Harvest Kids

3. Shepherd, equip and lead the Harvest Youth staff in evaluating, revising and expanding a vision and plan for effectively reaching and discipling the youth at Harvest.
